Experience

Bruno Viñals joined Cuesta Campos in 2014. He has focused his practice in administrative law, regulatory law and antitrust. His other areas of expertise include administrative litigation, tax litigation, gaming and sweepstakes, government procurement, and consulting in these areas.

For over 8 years, he has counseled domestic and multinational corporations in the processing and resolution of all types of permits before the federal, state and municipal authorities; advising on all aspects of public bidding from preparation of documents, review of bases and assistance to boards, as well as the preparation, processing and follow-up of any legal action against the Federal Public Administration.

Before joining Cuesta Campos, he worked at a prestigious law firm specializing in administrative litigation and corporate advice in these matters. Such experience has made him knowledgeable on the main issues and areas to attend when providing legal advice to both, national and multinational corporations.

Mr. Viñals is an active member of the Mexican Bar Association (Barra Mexicana Colegio de Abogados, A.C.)

Representative Matters
  1. Legal advice and representation of one of the leading companies in gaming, in order to obtain several permits for gaming and sweepstakes.
  2. Legal advice to a leading automotive company in administrative matters, in connection with the granting of incentives by the Government of Nuevo Leon, as well as Due Diligence of the purchase property.
  3. Legal representation in the Due Diligence of Wal-Mart de Mexico, S. de R.L. C.V., providing information with respect to all licenses, permits, authorizations and approvals from any governmental, licensing or regulatory body that are currently held by the Company in administrative matters and any risk detected.
  4. Legal representation in the Due Diligence of Tiendas Extra, S.A. de C.V., providing information with respect to all licenses, permits, authorizations and approvals from any governmental, licensing or regulatory body that are currently held by the Company in administrative matters and any risk detected.
  5. Legal representation of AMP Terminals B.V. in the administrative procedure for the awarding of Assignment of Rights Agreement for the construction and operation of a new container terminal in the Lazaro Cardenas Port in Michoacán, Mexico.
  6. Legal Advice to Tetra-Pak de Mexico, SA de CV, concerning the implementation of the Anti-Money Laundering Act.
  7. Legal advice and representation of companies Kellogg Mexico, S. de R.L. de C.V., Clorox Mexico, S. de R.L. de C.V. and Campbell's de Mexico, S.A. de C.V., for challenging the Regulations for the determination and payment of the non-cancellation guarantee fee of national waters.
  8. Legal representation and advice to Nike de Mexico, S. de R.L. de C.V. with respect to the obtaining of the necessary licenses, permits and authorizations issued by Municipal, State and Federal authorities for the proper construction and operation its commercial establishments in México (e.g. land use certificates, construction permits, notices of completion of construction, operating permits, installation of signs permits, civil protection approvals, among others).
  9. Legal representation and advice for a leading company in the automotive sector focused on the engineering, design and manufacturing of products for major car companies, specifically in regard to the implementation of internal policies to handle the commercial relationship with competitors and distributors, drafting the documentation required to comply with antitrust applicable legal provisions, and at the same time ensuring brand protection in the market.
