Carlos Ferran


Carlos Ferrán Martínez has represented national and multinational companies in all kinds of labor and employment matters. Carlos has focused his practice on the implementation of preventive strategies for companies of various industries, labor restructurings, high-level collective bargaining, development of incentive plans for senior executives including stock options, golden parachutes, phantom stock, among others, employers substitutions, proceedings before the Labor Boards of Conciliation and Arbitration, social security matters, expatriates, outsourcing issues, design and implementation of internal policies in connection with Internal Labor Regulations, as well as strategies of individual and collective bargaining.

In addition, Carlos has developed a number of legal opinions on labor and employment issues related to mergers, acquisitions, corporate restructurings, among other operations of relevance.

He has designed strategies for all types of labor terminations; reducing in all cases the risk of litigation for the company. He has constantly achieved significant savings for his clients in both termination processes, and in individual disputes before the labor authorities; through the most appropriate mechanisms of negotiation.

Carlos is also a speaker in forums related to recent labor reforms, anticorruption issues and data protection. He participated in a forum with the President of the Federal Labor Board of Conciliation and Arbitration of Mexico City, regarding the forthcoming reforms in labor procedural matters.

In his experience as a lecturer, he teaches Labor and Employment Law at Universidad Iberoamericana. He is a member of the Mexican bar “Ilustre y Nacional Colegio de Abogados de México”, where he was recently appointed as President of the Compliance Committee, while he also participates in the committees of Labor and Employment Law, Social Security and Business Law. He has participated in television programs for the “Canal Judicial” (Judicial Channel) and the channel "Borde Jurídico" (Legal Edge).

Carlos is a columnist for the magazines "Hechos y Derechos" at the “Instituto de Investigaciones Jurídicas UNAM”, "PAF, Pyme y Laboral" and "IDC Expansión"; where he contributes with articles for the protection of companies with operations in Mexico.

Before joining Cuesta Campos, Carlos worked at a prestigious international law firm focused in Labor & Employment Law, as well as in a recognized local “full-practice” law firm where he focused his practice in labor-corporate matters.
