Azucena Marín is partner in Cuesta Campos, leading the Corporate M&A and Antitrust Compliance teams of the Firm, working on antitrust matters as part of a broader M&A practice, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, competition law, financial transactions and corporate governance.
For over 22 years, Ms. Marin has advised an array of clients in Mexico, US, Japan and Europe in cross-border transactions, corporate structures, strategic acquisitions, joint ventures, commercial agreements, asset-based lending, among other multimillion-dollar transactions. Furthermore, she gives advice on due diligence and compliance issues including topics such as anticorruption, antitrust and competition law, privacy, money laundering and corporate governance. She is especially active in the automotive, manufacturing, financial, pharmaceutical, real estate development and alcoholic beverages industries.
Azucena is a frequent guest speaker at classes and conferences organized by the Universidad Panamericana, the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM), the Mexican Institute of Best Corporate Practices (IMMPC), Meritas Law Firms Worldwide, the Mexican Bar Association, the ANADE Jalisco and the Mexican Association of Real Estate Developers, with topics such as issues of due diligence in the acquisition of companies, corporate governance, comparative law in matters of companies and international contracts and transactions, anti-corruption and money laundering regulations.
