Beer, Wine and Spirits

Description
of the industry

Our Beer, Wine and Spirits Group combines the experience of lawyers from the corporate M&A, labor and employment, compliance, contracts, intellectual property, real estate and administrative law areas with deep knowledge in the alcoholic beverages sector.

Cuesta Campos has helped tequila producers, wineries, breweries and exporters-importers of alcoholic beverages with a complete portfolio of legal services to comply with the strict regulatory demands of the industry in Mexico and abroad.

In Mexico, both wine and craft beer consumption have grown by double-digit numbers in the last years, resulting in an increase in local production and foreign trade.

As more than 90% of the tequila distilleries are based in Jalisco, and as the top state producing craft beers (with 35% of the national production), our Guadalajara office -ranked best law firm in the region by Chambers and Partners- is conveniently located to attend the industry’s needs, along with our Mexico City location, where most of the global wine and spirits companies have settled their country headquarters.
